Pune Metro Rail Project

Line 2: is to be built from Vanaz to Ramwadi (under-construction). Line 3: is to be built from Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjewadi via Balewadi to Shivaji Nagar. This metro project will enhance the city’s connectivity within and also with the outer parts of the city.
Pune International Airport
Current Pune International Airport has been approved for further expansion due to the rising demands. The new integrated terminal at the Pune International Airport will handle about 2,300 passengers during peak hours. The expansion project is expected to be completed by March 2022.
Chattrapati Sambhaji Raje Airport
The new proposed airport for Pune city is going to be constructed in Purandar district. The new airport will be operating a far better number of International flights as compared to the current airport. As the current airport is an Air-force base, only two to four flights are operational from the airport. The new airport will exceed the current scenario.
170 KMS Ring Road
The proposed ring road will handle the influx of traffic from Mumbai, Nashik, Hyderabad, Goa and Bangalore. This ring road will enhance the connectivity to other parts of the city as well. The estimated cost for the construction of this new ring road is around 26,000 crore rupees.
